Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Green 2nd Generation

Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, “good” and “small” don’t quite cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.Clip it to your coin pocket. Clip it to your bag. No matter where you clip your skip-free iPod shuffle, you’ll have instant access to music. And iPod shuffle’s anodized aluminum enclosure goes with absolutely everything. Put it on, turn it up, and turn some heads.Got more than 240 songs in your iTunes library? No problem. Let iTunes autofill your iPod shuffle and get a new musical experience every time. This was a gift for my wife, that couldn’t wait till Christmas. She’s used my ipod and the kids as well, but when I asked if she wanted one it was always “I’d never use it! don’t waste the money on me (etc, etc, ad nausium).

Once she had it in her hand, we hear a single repeat of the standard spiel. From that point forward, we have to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention when she’s in the kitchen, or doing housework, or playing in her flowers, or reading a book and sometimes when we’re watching a movie.

For someone who JUST didn’t need or want one, this has been the greatest Gift Hit the kids and I have ever scored.

At to the ipod itself, it’s simplicity to load and maintain, the battery holds a more than adequate charge and even Sylvia, the Non Computer Literate Nurse can load her selection, both automatically and manually via iTunes on her mac. This woman knows how everything inside your guts works (nurse) but she’s lost with “mechanical” devices, but THIS one is intuitive and she simply loves the thing.

I should have gotten one for her when the kids and I got ours (equally utilized). I can’t say how pleased I am with her reception of the little music player!

5 Stars she likes it
I bought it for my little sister whose 12. It’s perfect for her cuz its small and simple. I have one too and I really like them.

1 Star Terrible product life
I bought my first in September of 2007. It lasted six months before it died. I sent it in, it was repaired. In the meantime, I received one for my birthday as requested, as a back-up. The original that was fixed conveniently died in October of 2008, after it was out of the original warranty. And just this week, five months after purchasing the second one, IT died. I now have no back-up until this one is repaired. The first one is now junk, and the second one probably won’t last through the original warranty period. The original cost $79 and lasted a year. The second had been reduced in price, but it won’t last a year. Therefore, $130 for 18 months. I expected more from Apple.

Apple iPod shuffle 2 GB Silver 2nd Generation

Using either witchcraft, fairy dust or highly gifted engineers (we’re not sure which), Apple has created an iPod Shuffle of an almost impossibly small size. Only slightly bigger than a U.S. quarter, this teensy-weensy device packs 2GB of Storage space. Enough for up to 480 of your favorite songs! Apple also attached a clip to the back of the Shuffle, so you can wear it anywhere for skip-free Music playback. Perfect for working out or just walking down the street. Unit Dimensions – 1.62 x 1.07 x 0.41 (including clip) Unit Weight – 0.55 oz. Color – Silver

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. This is the 2nd one i have purched and if needed, will buy another from Amazon.

5 Stars dont listen to the 1 star reviews
This product is durable- sounds great- and most of all it is well worth the $45 ! It is the best product out there for those who are into physical fitness and want something that is not intrusive in anyway.

5 Stars a jogger’s review :)
I already have an iPod classic that’s large enough to fit my 10,000 song collection onto it. I purchased the new iPod shuffle because I got really tired of holding onto my chunky Classic when trying to go running, and the sleak clip-on design of the Shuffle was just what I needed. I have no complaints. I essentially use it to play a specific playlist that I’ve developed in iTunes so I don’t need a screen to tell me what I’m listening to. And I don’t need it to be able to hold 1000 songs since I only go through about 10-20 in one workout period.

The volume goes as high or as low as I need it. There is a toggle switch to turn the “shuffle songs” feature on or off which is nice so that I don’t get tired songs being played in the same order over and over again.

The overall usability is just as simple as I need it to be while I’m jogging. It’s clipped onto my pants or my sleeve or my pocket and I can quickly press whatever button I need to take care of business without having to break my stride. And I’ve never had it come off which is what I was worried about the most.

The only thing that didn’t work for me was the earbuds. They tend to hurt my ears, and when running they work their way out of my ears completely. So I just invested in a pair of earbuds that wrap around my ears.

Some folks have issues with the fact that you can only charge it through a computer. This has not been a problem for me seeing as I update the playlist often and the shuffle recharges while I’m doing that. But the battery rarely runs down regardless.

I highly recommend this product if you’re just looking for a simple, inexpensive MP3 player to have on your body without it getting in your way. It’s worth every dime.

5 Stars Love the IPOD
I bought the IPOD shuffle for my son and he loves it. There’s been a learning curve as this is the first time he’s owned one. So far so good.

5 Stars I LOVE my shuffle!!
I had an mp4 player that held music, pictures, and video but I never seemed to use it. I guess it was just all the bells and whistles that I didn’t need. I LOVE the shuffle because of it’s size and convenience. It is very small and portable and clips on to your clothing. The sound is GREAT! I would have rather had the purple one but they were out so I bought the pink one, which is fine. I highly recommend this one to very busy people who enjoy their own music.

APPLE Ipod Premium White USB Data Charging Adapter Adaptor for Apple 2nd Generation Shuffle

5 Stars Work great
I bought this cable to replace my dock since the dock is not convenient to bring everywhere. Now I use this cable at my office and the dock at my house. And this cable provide the excellent performance as well as the dock.

1 Star Didn’t work
didn’t work at all. Get the little cordless one instead (White – iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation USB Charger Adapter); that worked.

1 Star terrible product
the cord does not work. it charges the shuffle but can’t transfer data, rendering it pretty much useless. i mean, it is only a usb to a headphone jack, how hard is this to make?

1 Star Charges, and that’s it…
I ordered this to replace my dock station for my iPod shuffle since it’s awkward to carry anywhere with you due to its setup. I always felt like I could just break the jack right off if something heavy hit it…

Anyway, I came across this little number and figured it would get the job done. It’s very compact, and can easily be rolled up and tucked away like any other cable. No problem right? Wrong. While it works fine for charging, whenever I tried to upload ANY music on the player it would crash and corrupt my iPod. I tried everything thinking it was my connection or perhaps even my player had finally died, but as soon as I broke out my old dock again and reset its software with that I had no problems. Until I tried to use the new cable again…

I only paid a penny for it plus shipping so it isn’t like it’s that big of a loss, but I still expect products to fulfill the role they claim to play. Sure I can use it with a charger but it’s supposed to replace a dock, not be another piece of equipment to lug around.

2 Stars Good idea, bad implementation
I liked that these cables didn’t have the big, unnecessary dock that the stock Apple ones have, but their quality is very poor. I ordered two for use at work and on my laptop. They arrived quickly, but neither one works reliably. 90% of the time when I use these cables, I get an error about the USB hub drawing too much current, or Windows can’t recognize the USB device. If I use my original cradle, I never have a problem. And since the price to shipping rate ratio is so high, it’s not even worth returning them to the seller. If the cables would have worked, this would be a great product. Other people have had success though, so I guess it’s just a crap shoot whether it will work for you. Buy at your own risk.
