User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Perfect ipod case
This is the perfect case for my Classic ipod. There was no stinky smell as others have indicated in their reviews. You can’t go wrong with this one.

4 Stars Nice case but it needs a belt attachment
I didn’t look at the item well enough, I guess, because I thought it had a belt attachment. That being said it is a well designed well built case for an iPod Classic. I did not give it a five star rating because it does not have the belt attachment. I would also recommend purchasing an invisible Shield sold by Zagg.com and maybe through Amazon.com. They have protective coatings for just about all electronics.

3 Stars Excellent protection, need to redesign flip jacket
The Belkin case gives excellent protection for my Classic Ipod, but has a few design flaws. First, the case holds my Ipod loosely- roughly 1/2″ movement from side to side.No way to firmly secure I pod when flap is open. Second, the velco flap does not stay open unless held. Hard to use click wheel and navigate menus when you are holding back flap. If you have little need to access Ipod controls, case works and looks great.

4 Stars Case Protects
Case is well designed and replaces the need for screen protectors. No magnets to keep the device closed (Velcro).

5 Stars Fit and Fancy
This item fit my Ipod perfectly and its fancy enough to be carried around in my purse.

Apple iPod touch 8 GB 1st Generation

Apple iPod touch 8 GB 1st Generation

(not the iPhone) With the Apple iPod touch, Apple has married the iPhone’s revolutionary multi-touch interface to their popular digital media player. So instead of a Click Wheel, you just use your fingers to flick through your music, photos, and video. Two fingers can be used in a pinching or spreading motion as well, which zooms in and out of photos and web pages. That’s right, the iPod touch is the first iPod to offer web access. It does this via built-in Wi-Fi support. There’s even a special iTunes Wi-Fi Store, so you can browse and purchase new music and video while you’re on the road. The latest iPod touch now offers a suite of new applications, including email, maps, and handy widgets for weather, notes, and stocks. The new iPod touch also features a customizable home screen that lets you rearrange buttons and create your own Web Clips. Ports – Dock Connector & Stereo Minijack Connects to a PC or Mac through USB (using the dock connector) 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Wireless / Safari web browser Charge Time – about 3 hours (1.5 hours fast charge to 80% capacity) Audio Support – AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, & 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, & AIFF Photo Support – Syncs iPod-viewable photos in JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD (Mac only), and PNG formats Video Support – H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in. m4v,. mp4, and. mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in. m4v,. mp4, and. mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in. m4v,. mp4, and. mov file formats Unit Dimension

4 Stars All I can say is WOW
(This is a review of the 16GB IPOD Touch 1st gen)

My wife bought me this as a gift. I had no clue what it was when I opened it. I had been considering buying a nano for my music in the car. Once I started using this, I could not imagine not having one. I put every CD I own on it so I have about 2600 songs. There was still room on it so I put all my photos (1900) from the last 10 years on it too. With the wireless networking, I can check the weather, movie times, email… the list goes on… from the comfort of my bed. I can do this anywhere in the house or anywhere with a wireless network. There are games and apps that can be downloaded right from the unit and every day that library expands. Also, I will be downloading TV programs to it as well. I just can’t believe how much I enjoy this device.

5 Stars Worth every penny!
I have to say I thought I would just be putting on music videos and albums, but this is so much more than that. I use just about everything. The internet, the wheather, stocks,of course the Apps for all those free games, And since I’m a personal trainer I find the notes to be quite handy as I’m training. This thing is awsome!!

1 Star can’t rate the item because I never received it
I would love to say the item was awesome but I never received it. My credit card sure was charged though….

1 Star hope you live in a temperate climate…
Obviously from all these other reviews this is by far the most functional product out there, and I’m not disputing that at all, I loved my Ipod touch, but they have a ridiculously short lifespan. The kicker is that if you as much as sweat on it or expose it to rapidly changing temperatures (as is common in the upper midwest) your warranty is voided and your Ipod might not last long at all.

I just lost an Ipod touch due to moister condensation from taking it from 30 degree weather to 70 degree weather. That created enough condensation to trip the water marker inside the Ipod which voids the warranty and shorted out the screen. To top it off; that one was actually a replacement for another Ipod touch because the first one I got had a phone jack that broke within a month of normal use, and then this one had a faulty screen due to “water damage” and now Apple conveniently doesn’t have to replace it anymore.

Just read some of the discussions on Apples site about Ipods and water damage, it literally takes just one drop of water to short it out and void the warranty.

So if your getting one my advice is to live somewhere that doesn’t get too cold or put you in situations that allow moisture condensation to happen.

1 Star Terrible gadget, I’ll stick with payphones to make phone calls and listening to my Walkman Cassettes.
Apple has been known for many terrible things such as the iPod and its unstable Operating systems.. but this latest gadget is by far the most materialistic unnecessary device anyone can own.

I make better phone calls using a Pager and calling from Payphones, and I get better sound quality listening to the FM radio stations or listening to my Walkman Cassettes.

iPhones are for rich angry little kids who listen to crappy music.

Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter Charger for iPod

June 10, 2009 by Mp3 Players Review · Leave a Comment

Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter Charger for iPod

Why fumble with CDs when you can play your iPod in the car on virtually any FM radio station? Now you can do that and keep your iPod charged at the same time with iCarPlay Wireless Plus. Programmable, backlit station presets make it fast and easy to set and change stations on the go. With some other FM transmitters, finding an FM frequency clear enough to play your iPod through can be tough especially while driving through different areas and terrain. But since you can tune iCarPlay Wireless Plus to almost any FM station, you have full FM tuning flexibility in getting the best sound, free of interference. Simply tune your car radio to any clear FM station, tune iCarPlay Wireless Plus to the same station, hit play on your iPod and you’re ready to roll. Change presets any time you need a clearer station. For added flexibility and convenience, Monster Smart Digital Charging technology rapidly charges your iPod, and then switches to a trickle charge to optimize its performance. It all makes iCarPlay Wireless Plus the best way to enjoy full stereo sound from your iPod in your car, no matter where your travels take you. Compatible with – iPods with Dock Connector (including iPod mini) – iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Mini, iPod Video, iPod Photo, iPod U2, iPod 4th Gen with click wheel, iPod 3rd Gen with dock

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars does not charge ipod nano 4G
The transmitter itself works very well but I was very disappointed to find out that it does not charge my new ipod nano 4G even though it states it charges. I called Monster and they said that it indeed does NOT charge the new ipod nano even though it does not state that anywhere on its product information.

2 Stars Static
It works ok, about half of the time. Even with the option of 3 different radio stations I get plenty of static. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

5 Stars Monster iCarPlay the best!
The Monster iCarPlay is the third such item I have bought to use in cars with my iPod. In over a month of using it in a large urban area (Washington, DC ‘burbs mostly) I’ve had clear sound & reception from my iPod. Only once, has there been sound bleed,at a stop light) and we moved the car a foot or less, the sound was fine! I gave up using my previous in-car FM transmitters because I couldn’t take the sound bleed, but this is great! Really pleased! And I’ve only programed one station so far — haven’t needed to do the others yet!

4 Stars Monster iCarPlay iPod FM Transmitter
Great product!

The gold plated connectors allow for FM transmission with little or no static at all. I love how it charges my ipod while it’s connected. I had a monster iCarPlay before for a year and i tried the DLO Dock Station after that but it was horrible! I just wish the connecter was easier to remove from the cigarette lighter. It seems i have to really yank at it and i fear this may ultimately break the iCarPlay. But i love it and use it whenever i go anywhere!

3 Stars mountainous areas are iffy
It was really good for the most part, near populated areas but, once you get into the mountains it cuts in and out and alot of static noise

4 Stars Great Case!
I have dropped my iPod several times with this case and it still works perfect. Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, is that the click wheel is not covered. It even works with the wireless headphone transponder connected, no interference at all.
