2 Stars Not worth the money
Buy an iPod or something. This thing is pain. It take 4 seconds to power on. You have to remove the headphones to power it one because of a design flaw. It takes upwards of 3 taps on any icon to get it to respond. It is not an on-the-go usage device. The carry pouch is only good for protecting it during storage.

4 Stars good device
It is a good item, the best is the videos , very high definition, I am surprise. the bad thing is a little slow to change the applications, and you have to wait many time converting the videos, if not you can not see it in the player… and the mp3 doesn’t have the hole to insert the touch stick… and finaly the headphones are very “bad quality” I recomend to buy an extra pair of a better brand. this is a very good device but need many things to be one of the best…

1 Star Please, do not buy it. You will regret it. good enough to be a memory stick
I have had it for over a month now. Its transfer time is really slow and MP3 files are not playable although it recognize them once it’s connected to the laptop as a ext hdd. Only WMA seem to be recognized. I saved 7+Gb and only 350 songs would play.

The pic quality is great but the 640×320 pic viewings takes more than 3-5 seconds to flip through them. The touch screen menu looks very advanced but it is nothing but a simple key which doesn’t interact like cell phones or iphone. Very basic.

The earbud delivers the crappy sound, that is worse than the freebie from the airplanes. It went right into the trash bim. But, my sony headphone has been used and it was alright.

I regret getting it and would recommend 4gb mb3 players with good brand names instead. It is not just worth it!

4 Stars More Memory
I love this Ipod. My only complaint is that I wish it had more memory. I wish there was a way we could put more memory in. The large screen is very helpful and I really appreciate the zoom feature on the Internet.

3 Stars It’s cool
I’ve had this for close to a month and it’s a nice little player for the price. It plays music and video; the camera is a lil crappy, but it works. It doesn’t support playlist functions, nor does it have album art. So basically, you don’t get all the software bells and whistles that you’d get with an iTouch; I still recommend it.

1999 – 2009, Ten years of AfterDawn

It has been ten years now since our site, AfterDawn.com, was launched back in June, 1999. To celebrate this event, I went through our extensive collection of news articles from the past ten years and tried to somehow summarize what has happened in the world of "digital entertainment" during our site's existence -- and what has happened to our site during that time. This can be considered as my personal "memoir" of what has happened to our site during the past ten years, and also serves as our "b

Microsoft Zune HD Portable Media Player to be Released This Fall

The design of Microsoft's first Zune player was a bit chunky and cluncky, so it's great to see that the new Zune HD PMP will have a slim, modern look to go the next round against Apple's sleek i-devices. When it's released in Fall 2009, the new Zune HD will boast a Premium Zune digital entertainment service that will be available internationally on Xbox LIVE to its 17 million Xbox LIVE subscribers. The Zune HD is also the first portable media player to combine a built-in HD Radio receiver, hi

Zune-Xbox gaming device in the works?

The Zune rumour mill has been churning for a while, with leaks of an alleged ZuneHD and maybe even a Zune smartphone. The latest rumour gathering steam is a sort of riff on previous rumours: Microsoft is developing a portable digital entertainment device that bridges the gap between the Zune and the Xbox 360. 5 Stars An Outstanding Choice for Zune Owners
I just received my home pack and am PLEASED with my selection. I had seen the version 2 and was not impressed. Contrary to other owners comments, the IR with the remote works perfectly ALL around the house. Hooking it up to the T.V. was a breeze. I can watch all my faves and listen to my music in PERFECT 7.1 surround. What a great investment.

1 Star Doesn’t fit new generation Zune
I bought this with my new Zune 120 gig player. It doesn’t fit and it doesn’t work. First, the adapter plug in the stand is set to the back of the slot and the new generation Zune player’s receiver end is at the front of the player, so it only fits and charges if you put it in backwards. This kind of defeats the purpose of the remote access, etc.. since you can’t see what’s playing. Second, my remote never worked at all.

I’m very disappointed in this product (though my Zune is great so far), and I wish that Amazon had some kind of comment in the Home A/V Pack page indicating that it doesn’t fit new generation players – and that they didn’t have the misleading “buy together and save” stuff.

4 Stars Good quality!
It contains everything. Stylish and feels like a good quality. I only miss a European plug. Ok, I live in Europe, but anyone can travel to Europe… Am I right? The Zune table dock nice, but You cannot plug your device with any case on it. So first you have to remove the protecting case… Sometimes it’s a bit uncomfortable!

5 Stars Zune home pack
It was exactly what I ordered and it was shipped right out. I would buy from this seller again.

4 Stars Great product form MS Zune
I love this unit. The remote only works when directly pointed at the base but it is great to be able to browse your collection and watch videos through a TV while using a remote. Great product and this does work with the 80gb Zune. In the instruction manual my unit came with there was instructions for how to properly outfit it for 80 gb.
